Six years have passed since the commissioning of Azerbaijan’s first national tanker
Six years have passed since the commissioning of our first national tanker, “Lachin”.
The commissioning ceremony of the tanker, built at the Baku Shipyard at ASCO’s order, was held on December 13, 2019, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.
Over the past six years, the tanker has completed a total of 94 voyages to various ports. During these voyages, the vessel transported 464,093 tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products.
In the past year alone, the ship delivered 48,958.323 tonnes of cargo to destination ports.
The “Lachin” tanker is equipped with six cargo tanks with a total capacity of 9,190 cubic metres. The vessel’s deadweight is 7,884 tonnes at sea and 5,455 tonnes in river conditions. With a length of 141 metres and a breadth of 16.9 metres, the tanker operates at a speed of 10 knots.
