Delegation of “Türk Loydu” classification society visits ASCO
A meeting was held at ASCO, a company under AZCON Holding, with the delegation of the “Türk Loydu” classification society led by its Chairman, Oral Erdoğan.
The Chairman of the ASCO Management Board, Rauf Valiyev, informed the guests in detail about the activities carried out in the field of maritime transport in Azerbaijan, the achievements in fleet renewal, the ongoing projects, and future plans in this direction. He also spoke about the experience of Azerbaijani seafarers, emphasizing that they demonstrate high professionalism on vessels flying both national and foreign flags.
In turn, the Chairman of “Türk Loydu”, Oral Erdoğan, noted that Azerbaijan’s maritime transport sector is of great interest to classification societies, including the one he represents. He added that “Türk Loydu” became a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) last year and has been expanding its range of services.
The meeting continued with an exchange of views on a number of other issues of mutual interest and prospects for cooperation.
