Construction of new ASCO passenger vessels progresses on schedule

The construction of passenger vessels commissioned by ASCO, under AZCON Holding, is progressing on schedule at the Baku Shipyard.

Construction of two of the three new passenger vessels has reached 31% completion, while the third vessel is over 28% complete.

Each vessel will accommodate up to 50 passengers, with a length of 42 meters and a beam of 8 meters.

The passenger vessels are being designed in strict compliance with international standards, with particular emphasis on safety, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and passenger comfort.

These vessels are intended for the transportation of specialists working in the oil and gas sector. The project will significantly contribute to improving the quality of marine transportation services in the Caspian oil and gas industry.

Upon delivery of these vessels, the total number of ships built at Baku Shipyard for ASCO will reach six. Previously, in 2016, the shipyard delivered the vessels “Ufug”, “Zafer”, and “Turan” to ASCO, all of which continue to operate successfully.
