Overhaul of the crane vessel “Zulfi Hajiyev” completed
The crane vessel “Zulfi Hajiyev”, operated by ASCO under AZCON Holding, has successfully completed its overhaul.
The repair work was carried out at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard. During the overhaul, all guide rings of the 100-ton capacity crane were dismantled, thoroughly repaired, and reinstalled. In addition, windlass and capstan units, pumps, piping systems, sanitary facilities, and electric motors underwent routine maintenance.
As part of the works, the vessel was dry-docked, and damaged areas of the hull’s underwater and above-water sections were replaced. The steering and propulsion system, bottom and side fittings, anchor chains, and sacrificial anodes were serviced, and painting was carried out across the vessel.
The vessel was also equipped with one “X-Band” radar unit and two stationary “VHF” radio stations. The PA system of the crane vessel underwent major repair.
The crane equipment was tested, followed by sea trials to verify overall mechanical and electrical performance. After successful trials, the vessel was delivered to the representatives of the Classification Society.
It should be noted that the length of the “Zulfi Hajiyev” is 98.55 meters and the breadth is 17 meters.
