The number of electronic ticketing system users has been announced for the first quarter
The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), operating under the Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding (AZCON), has reported that 670 orders were processed through its electronic ticketing system during January–March 2025.
The system was introduced to enhance the appeal of international transport corridors passing through Azerbaijan, and to simplify and expedite documentation in cargo and passenger transportation.
According to ASCO, the highest number of e-tickets during the reporting period was issued for the Alat–Kuryk route — 517 tickets. Additionally, 87 tickets were issued for Kuryk–Alat, 57 for Alat–Turkmenbashi, and 9 for Turkmenbashi–Alat.
In total, 5,882 passengers were transported via ASCO ferry vessels in the first quarter of 2025.
It should be noted that ASCO’s e-ticketing system has been in operation since 2016. Passengers and cargo carriers can access the service via https://public.acsc.az/online/payment/index/az/, where they can enter cargo details, departure and
arrival ports, payer information, and vehicle type. The system then automatically calculates the fare and completes the booking.
It is important to note that under the current quarantine regime, Azerbaijani citizens wishing to leave the country by ferry must obtain special permission from the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. Foreign nationals are
not required to present this permit when exiting Azerbaijan. However, both Azerbaijani and foreign citizens must obtain the permit to enter the country by ferry.
