The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) held a training course for managers and experts responsible for ship emergency response service (particularly on tankers).

The training was conducted by the St. Petersburg Research Institute of the Marine Fleet (JSC CNIIMF) in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention MARPOL73 / 78. During the training, the participants were provided with extensive information on the calculation of the strength and emergency stability of ships, the creation of ship designs, checking the calculations of the design model, options for loading ships, provision of permanent maintenance of marine equipment, etc.

11 participants (employees of the Maritime Safety Department and other departments of ASCO), who successfully completed the two-day training, were awarded the appropriate certificates.

It should be noted that ASCO and the St. Petersburg Research Institute of the Marine Fleet (JSC CNIIMF) started cooperating in 2008. Since then, the ASCO Ship Emergency Response Service (particularly on tankers) has been using the STABEDIT PROFESSIONAL 2.1 software developed by this advanced research institute and complying with the requirements of the International Convention MARPOL73 / 78.
