ASCO ferry is back into operation after the repair

The overhaul of the “Karabakh” ferry that belongs to the Marine Sea Fleet of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO) was completed.

The repair was carried out at the Zikh Ship Construction and Repair Yard according to the plan. Along with the repair of the main and auxiliary engines, the mechanisms, and the automation systems of the ferry, there were carried out welding, piping, and electrical works.

Also, the underwater and above-water parts of the ship, machine compartment, and the main deck were cleaned up and painted. Besides, the accommodation rooms of the crew underwent repair. 

After the tests on the sea, the vessel was put back into operation.

It should be noted that the Karabakh ferry was put into operation in 2008. The length of the vessel is 154.5 meters, width - 17.5 meters, speed - 14 nautical miles, and full load capacity - 5985 tons.
