Towing operation of the “Neptune” rig with ASCO vessels has started
On 18 October, with the participation of vessels operated by ASCO, a company under AZCON Holding, the towing operation of the self-elevating drilling rig “Neptune” to the offshore area where it will operate — near the “Umid” platform — started.
ASCO’s “Mardakan”, “Zira” and “Andoga” supply-tug vessels are participating in the towing operation.
It should be recalled that the self-elevating drilling rig “Neptune” was brought from the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan in June this year for modification work with the support of ASCO vessels. That operation was carried out with the participation of the “Hovsan”, “Hovsan-2”, “SOCAR-1”, “Andoga”, “Shuvelan” and “Mardakan” vessels.
