The “Garadagh” dry cargo vessel has been returned to operation after major repairs
The “Garadagh” dry cargo vessel of ASCO, a company under AZCON Holding, has been returned to operation after undergoing a major overhaul at the Zigh Ship Repair and Construction Yard.
As part of the works, the main and auxiliary engines, mechanisms, and pumps in the engine room, air compressors, coolers, separators, and radio navigation equipment were repaired.
In addition, pipelines on the main deck and in the engine room were replaced with new ones, while hull welding, automation, and electrical installation were also performed.
The vessel’s underwater and above-water sections, main deck, superstructure, and engine room, as well as cargo hold hatch covers, were cleaned and painted.
The living and service quarters, as well as sanitary facilities for the crew of the “Garadagh”, were also overhauled.
Upon completion of the works, the “Garadagh” was put through sea trials. After successfully passing the trials, the vessel was returned to operation.
