A training on contract law and contractual obligations were held at ASCO

Training on contract law and contractual obligations were organized for the corresponding staff of the subordinate bodies of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).

The training provided detailed information on the adjustment of orders made for the purchase of goods, works and services, proper implementation of documentation works related to execution of the contract in force, proper arrangement of delivery and acceptance works, and determination of the sequence of actions to execute the contract terms, etc. In addition, some staff members were explained their duties with respect to contractual obligations. It was emphasized that all these are the most important preconditions in order to diminish the risks for ASCO where it acts as customer in the contracts.

Detailed discussions were also held on the practical implementation of what have been mentioned in the training held at the Bibiheybat Ship Yard. Participants were given a chance to ask their questions and make comments.

Earlier, a similar training was also organized for the staff of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, the Sea Transport Fleet, the Production Services Directorate, the Zigh Shipyard and for appropriate staff of other structural units located in the relevant territory.

In the coming days, it is planned to organize trainings for the staff of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy, Training and Education Center, Azerbaijan Maritime College, Yacht Club LLC, “Sailors Polyclinics” LLC and the Caspian Design and Survey and Research Institute of Maritime Transport.

The training will cover a total of more than 150 employees working in various departments of ASCO.
