The crane vessel "Azerbaijan" with the carrying capacity of 2500 tons has been repaired

The repair of the crane vessel "Azerbaijan", with the carrying capacity of 2500 tons owned by the Specialized Offshore Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), has been successfully completed.

Oil and water coolers of the main engines, pumps, air cylinder fittings, pipelines of the sea water and oil cooling systems, sewage pipeline systems were repaired within the framework of repair carried out at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard. Defects in electrical equipment have been eliminated, wastewater tanks fully cleaned, crane device with 30 and 400 tons load capacity tested. The pipes installed on the safety nets of the helideck were renewed. The overwater areas and the main deck were cleaned and painted.

The vessel was docked and hydraulic control systems of the screw propeller and bow thruster were repaired. The crane vessel Azerbaijan was launched upon completion of control and testing.
It should be noted that the vessel was commissioned in 1980. Since 1996, tugboats have been involved to ensure navigation of the vessel due to malfunctioning of the screw propellers and rudder gear. In 2020, a decision was made to ensure the free navigation of the vessel. Thereby, 2 maneuvering thruster and other necessary parts were manufactured and installed on the vessel by

“Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard as per the decision made. Moreover, the screw propellers were repaired, the subsurface part cleaned and painted, and the technical condition of the protective devices and bottom fittings inspected. In addition, works relating to the full cleaning of ballast tanks were carried out. All these works were carried out by personnel of the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard on the floating dock owned by Baku Shipyard LLC.
