Registration in ASMA Completed

Registration of students admitted to the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ADDA) of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC ended on August 27. Students who have submitted their documents (the list of which was announced in advance) to the Academy have been registered and their information has been placed in the State Examination Center system.

Admission to ASMA was conducted on 4 specialties. According to the results of State Examination Center contest, the admission plan for specialties Ship Building and Ship Repair, Sea Navigation Engineering (teaching in Azerbaijani and English), and Operation Engineering of Ship Power Plants (teaching in Azerbaijani) was fulfilled for 100 percent.  The Azerbaijani State Maritime Academy enrolls 234 freshmen this year, fulfilling 78 percent of admission plan.

According to statistics, 184 enrollees, or about 78 percent, among the applicants scored 300-644 points in total at both stages of the exam. The student with the maximum score of 644.6 points, chose Sea Navigation Engineering specialty (teaching in English).

This year, 181 students were enrolled to the academy for places allocated by state order. 53 students were accepted on a paid basis; 11 of them were exempted from payment due to special privileges.

During registration, applications of students who did not have a place of residence in Baku and would like to stay in the hostel of the ASMA were also accepted. Besides, the body measurements of each student were taken for sewing uniforms.

It should be noted that 2019/2020 academic year will begin on September 16th.
