ASCO Chairman Rauf Valiyev visited Aframax-type vessel "Shusha" navigating in international waters

“Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” (ASCO) Management Board Chairman Rauf Valiyev visited Aframax-type vessel "Shusha" sailing under the Azerbaijani flag in international waters of Turkish port Aliaga, in Izmir.

First chairman carefully familiarized with the working conditions of the vessel crew, their problems and listened to suggestions and wishes.

Later, Rauf Veliyev met with the command staff and exchanged views on the operation and management of the vessel. He gave vessel captain number of instructions related to cargo transportation activities in accordance with international standards, and emphasized the importance of compliance with legal requirements when conducting inspections by port control inspectors. He also discussed aspects related to health, safety, security and discipline, noting the responsibilities and duties of seafarers in these areas.

ASCO Chairman expressed gratitude to the crew members for their active participation in cargo transportation and wished the sailors a successful journey.

The Aframax type vessel "Shusha" was put into operation on June 15, 2023, on National Liberation Day, far from the borders of our country, in Singapore, where our tricolor flag was raised. Like other Aframax tankers, "Shusha" has deadweight (full load capacity) of approximately 115,000 tons.
